...Please allow about two weeks for any Apex skimboards... Apex Skimboards are made with a 5/8” or 3/4” Divynicell hand shaped foam core, and a notched out bottom rail filled with Kevlar band, resin, and chopped fiber.
All boards are made with six layers of material; three on top and three on bottom for strength, stiffness, and durability. Even with six layers, our boards are built light. On average, the 5/8” boards weigh only 4.5lbs and the ¾” boards only 4.2lbs.
All Apex Skimboards have a boxy rail, with the high end boards having a sleek taper in both the nose and tail for minimal water displacement and a smother, longer glide out to the waves. |
