Size: Small 49.00" x 20.00"
Accommodates riders between 85-145 lbs.
S-Glass:
Full-Coat and Double Wrapped Rails
Structural Fiberglass has become the standard for performance skimboards in the United States. For high-performance riders on high-performance waves your typically E-Glass just wont cut it. East Coast Skimboards offers a full coat of S-Glass on all skimboards to increase strength and stiffness (roughly 30% stronger and 15% stiffer than E-Glass), as well as double wrapped rails to give added strength against dings.
Traditional Rocker:
Nose 2.25 Tail: 0
Specifically designed for riders living in areas where the waves are both far out and often too small to utilize pocket control. In these instances riders may be looking for a board that supplies tons of float and tons of down-the-line speed, which is exactly what the E.C.S. Traditional Rocker provides. By utilizing a gradual rocker in the nose of the board and maintaining an absolutely flat back end, our traditional rocker can help you pop over white-water bumps and transition back onto the water completely flat with ease. This rocker is also designed to provide massive amounts of speed while shooting down the line at your favorite point break.
Thickness:
Nose: 0.875" - Mid-Section: 1" - Tail: 0.625"
East Coast Skimboards supplies the first ever skimboards that not only vary in rocker, but also in thickness throughout. For years skimboard manufacturers have been searching for a way to utilize a thinner board to lower weight without compromising float. This had led to the division of boards into categories of either 5/8", 3/4", or 1". With East Coast Skimboards you can have all 3 in 1. Typically while sliding out to a wave the flattest part of your board, and therefore where you balance most of your weight, is between the center of your board and your front foot. This is where we utilize 1" of thickness to ensure lots of float. The rest of the nose is tapered to 0.875" to reduce weight. The back end of the board is designed with 0.625" of thickness to give the rider a paper-thin feel with added maneuverability. Not only does it reduce the weight of the board but with the combination of it's thin-feel and the tail rocker it is the perfect board for power turns, big wraps, and steez in the green room. Or the brown room if you're in New Jersey.
